450 Broadway – Old is Now New Again
The single elevator was installed in 1899, upgraded in 1922, and was sorely in need of a modernization.
Originally designed by John Snook, this historic building dates back to 1876 and was a part of the early manufacturing district. Other of Mr. Snook’s projects included Grand Central Station and the Metropolitan Hotel.
The single elevator was installed in 1899, upgraded in 1922, and was sorely in need of a modernization. With very limited space and a unique machine room positioning, D&D installed a new 6 stop Hollister Whitney Gearless Traction Elevator. The new elevator will assist in attracting new customers and tenants.
